Annotation:The article gives definitions of the profession, domestic and foreign views, factors influencing the choice of fundamental problems in psychological sciences, the professional process of self – determination, the role of motivation in choosing a profession. The article identifies the internal and external, objective and subjective factors that influence the choice of a profession, research methods are conducted and results are given.
